Baseball Places Ten on Academic All-MAC Team

Ten Ball State baseball student-athletes were named Academic All-MAC by the Mid-American Conference, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Blake Bevis, Dylan Grego, Korbin Griffin, Jacob Hartlaub, Connor Hutchinson, Clay Jacobs, Keegan Johnson, Houston King, Zach Kwasny, and Owen Quinn received the honor. In order to be eligible for consideration, student-athletes must hold at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and be in at least their second academic year at the institution.
Bevis, Grego, Johnson and Quinn were also on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team announced on June 3.
Bevis, Grego, Jacobs and Quinn got on the 2024 Academic All-MAC Team, while Hartlaub has now earned the honor in three straight years.
"It is great to see our guys recognized on the field and in the classroom," Ball State head coach Rich Maloney said. "These guys have balanced well their love for playing baseball and their education which lasts a lifetime. I'm proud of them for their accomplishments."
