Gallagher's day included four birdies and 11 pars but was hampered by two rough holes played at a combined +5.
"Sarah showed some incredible mental toughness today," Andry said. "She made double on her first hole and later carded a triple and still found a way to grind out a 74 which takes a lot of guts."
Also tied for 19th overall at +4 (148) is BSU's top individual, sophomore Jenna Estravillo, who matched the program's best round of the day at +1 (73). Estravillo carded three birdies and 12 pars over her 18 holes to climb 11 spots up the leaderboard."Jenna played another really solid round," Andry said. "She has really developed as a player this year and you can see her confidence and poise growing with every good round!"
Ball State's other individuals also turned in solid days, with sophomore Madelyn Young playing at +3 (75), senior Payton Bennett shooting a +5 (77) and senior Sabrina Langerak earning a +6 (78). All three moved up the leaderboard, with Young making the biggest jump at 10 spots.Â
Langerak and Bennett each carded three birdies in their rounds, while Young added two.

"I was disappointed that we didn't put together a better performance today as a team," Andry said. "We made too many big numbers which is uncharacteristic of us. I'm glad we get one more shot at this course tomorrow because I think we left a lot out there today. We will work to get something cooking tomorrow so we can finish the week well."Â
Once again, the Cardinals made the most noise on the course's par 5s, ranking fifth among the field with an average score of 4.95 (-2) over the two days.Â
