Alex Richard Named MAC Player of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio - For the second time in her career, senior Alex Richard (Avon, Ind./Avon) has earned Mid-American Conference Player of the Week honors. This is the second-straight season Richard has won the last MAC weekly award of the year.Â
Richard turned in two 20-point performances last week as the Mid-American Conference regular season came to an end.Â

On Wednesday, Richard led the Cardinals with 20 points and seven rebounds to help Ball State claim its first MAC Regular season title in 22 years.Â

Richard also had a standout performance Saturday against the Ohio Bobcats as she led BSU once again in scoring with 25 points. Richard pulled down 10 rebounds for a double-double while shooting 73 percent from the field (11-15) on her senior day versus Ohio.Â

For the week, Richard averaged 22.5 points per game while pulling down 8.5 rebounds. She shot 63 percent from the field and 70 percent from the charityÂ
