February 28, 2025 | Men's Golf
MUNCIE, Ind. – For the first time in his career, Ball State senior men's golfer Ali Khan has earned Golfer of the Week accolades by the Mid-American Conference, for his performance last week at the Dorado Beach Collegiate in Puerto Rico.
An All-MAC second team selection last year, Khan earned his first MAC weekly award after firing the best 54-hole tournament score of his career. He carded subpar scores in all three rounds at TPC Dorado Beach (69-71-69---209) while finishing seven strokes under par – also his best career finish, relative to par.
Pacing Ball State to an eighth-place finish out of 16 teams, Khan was steady over all three rounds, firing 12 birdies, 37 pars and just five bogeys over 54 holes. His eighth-place individual finish was his best of the season and his best since last year's fourth-place finish at the MAC Championships.
