WTN Continues Three-Match Road Swing at Xavier Friday; Hosts In-State Rival Butler Sunday

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State women's tennis team will look to snap a two-match losing streak when it plays at Xavier Friday afternoon. First serve is at 2 pm ET at the Eastern Hills Indoor Tennis Club. The Cardinals will then host Butler on Sunday at 1 pm ET.
The Cardinals bring a 3-3 record to Musketeer land while Xavier owns a 4-4 overall ledger. Ball State and Xavier haven't met since the 2014-15 season when the Cardinals fell to the Musketeers by a 4-0 decision at the Eastern Hills Indoor Tennis Club. The match prior to that resulted in a 5-2 loss in Muncie on March 15, 2014.
The Ball State women's tennis team will close out the weekend at home against the Butler Bulldogs at the Northwest YMCA. The Cardinals own an 8-3 ledger over the Bulldogs in their last 11 matches. Butler won the last meeting on March 3, 2024, by a score of 4-3 in Indianapolis.
Ball State is coming off two losses last weekend to Youngstown State (4-3) and Michigan State (4-1) in East Lansing, Mich. Ella Hazelbaker highlighted the match against the Spartans after earning a straight set victory (6-2, 6-2) at No. 6 singles.
After this weekend, the Ball State women's tennis team will play two matches in Tennessee at Austin Peay (March 6) and Middle Tennessee (March 8). The matches will begin at 1 pm ET and 4 pm ET, respectively.
