Kuntz Makes Local History in Manitoba, Canada
July 24, 2024 | Men's Golf
MUNCIE, Ind. -- Ball State junior golfer Braxton Kuntz has made local sporting history in his home province of Manitoba, Canada.
The 22-year-old golfer from Winnipeg captured his fourth straight Manitoba Amateur championship on Wednesday afternoon at Rossmere Golf & Country Club. Kuntz finished the 54-hole event at four-under par after rounds of 68-68-70. That left him three strokes ahead of his nearest competitor.
Kuntz, who is headed to his senior year of college golf for the Cardinals and plans to turn pro next spring, has earned an exemption into the Manitoba Open next month at Southwood which features the top golfers on the PGA Tour Canada.
