Five Cardinals Named Academic All-District by the CSC

Merritt Beeker, Blake Bevis, Hunter Dobbins, Michael Hallquist and Decker Scheffler have been named Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators.
To be eligible for the recognition, student-athletes need to be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and participate in at least 90 percent of the team's contests or pitch in at least 17 games or 25 innings for pitchers.
The Academic All-America teams will be announced on July 2.
Beeker is a junior studying business administration who was named the Mid-American Conference Pitcher of the Year.
Bevis is a sophomore exercise science major and was recently voted Second Team All-MAC.
Dobbins is a junior studying marketing and was also voted Second Team All-MAC.
Hallquist is a senior in general studies who earned a First Team All-MAC recognition in addition to a MAC Defensive Player of the Year honor.
Scheffler is a senior teaching major in physical education health who recently earned the MAC Medal of Excellence Award.
