Planinsek Earns First Team All-MAC Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Ball State women's tennis sophomore standout Annika Planinsek has earned All-Mid-American Conference First Team honors which was announced by the league office today.Â

Planinsek, who earned the All-MAC Freshman of the Year last season along with being named the 2023 MAC Tournament Team, moved up from playing No. 4 and No. 5 singles in 2023 to the top court in 2024. Planinsek led the Cardinals in conference action with a 7-3 ledger at No. 1 singles. She also played at No. 2 doubles posting 11 overall victories and four league wins. Planinsek alongside teammate Ella Hazelbaker also tallied a 6-4 defeat in non-conference play over Big Ten foe Michigan State on March 10, 2024.

The Ball State women's tennis team ended its season with an overall mark of 7-15 and a MAC record of 4-6.
