Middleton Claims Third MAC Gymnast of the Week Honor

CLEVELAND - - For the third time this season, Ball State sophomore Zoe Middleton has been named the Mid-American Conference Gymnast of the Week.

Middleton earns the honor after turning in a brilliant performance in last Saturday's dual at Western Michigan, capturing the all-around title (39.375) and tying for event wins on bars (9.825), beam (9.900) and floor (9.900). She also counted a 9.750 on vault.

Her 9.900 on beam was a career-best effort and ties as the team's highest score on the apparatus this season. In addition, her 9.900 on floor was her fifth career mark of 9.900-or-better in the event.

So far this season, Ball State gymnastics has had at least one MAC award winner in five of the seven weeks of competition.
