CSC Press Release
The Ball State women's soccer team had six student-athletes recognized with Academic All-District honors by the College Sports Communicators.
Delaney Caldwell, Addie Chester, Avery Fenchel, Kaitlyn Fraser, Grace Konopatzki and Maya Millis were awarded with the recognition by the CSC. Caldwell, Chester, Fenchel and Millis were each honored for the second straight season.
In order to be eligible for Academic All-District, student-athletes must maintain a minimum 3.5 grade-point average and compete in at least 90 percent of the team's games or start in at least 66 percent of the team's games.
Caldwell is an elementary education major who had seven goals and eight assists for 22 points as a starting forward for the Cardinals in 2024. The eight assists tied a Ball State single-season record.
Chester transferred in from Louisville prior to the season and scored 10 goals with eight assists for 28 points in her first college season at Ball State. The Muncie native was named First Team All-MAC for her efforts, which included joining Caldwell with the most assists in a season in program history.
Fenchel is pursuing a master's degree in business administration after graduating with a bachelor's degree in exercise science last May. The forward scored six goals on the year to give her 30 for her career, which tied the Ball State record.
Fraser studies exercise science, played in every match this season and scored one goal and added one assist from her midfield position as a senior.
Konopatzki is a legal studies major who played in 17 matches, making 16 starts in goal, and posted a save percentage of .721 with a 1.54 goals against average in her junior year.
Millis studies strategic communications (advertising) and started in each of the 18 matches this year. The defender had two assists and played in the third-most minutes on the team (1,405) while surpassing the 5,000 career minutes mark late in the season.
