October 09, 2024 | Women's Basketball
MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State women's basketball team has once again announced an impressive 2024-25 schedule. It comes to no surprise that 13th-year head coach Brady Sallee and his staff have assembled a variety of challenging non-conference opponents along with a student-athlete experience that features a Thanksgiving break trip to the Bahamas (Nov. 23-25).
The Cardinals will tip-off the season with an exhibition game in Worthen Arena on Oct. 30 against IU Kokomo.
Ball State's season opener will be at home as part of the Mid-American Conference Sun Belt challenge as the Cardinals host Old Dominion on Nov. 4. The Cardinals will remain in Worthen Arena for their next two contests as Ball State welcomes IU Indy (Nov. 8) and Memphis (Nov. 13).
The Cardinals will then head on the road from Nov. 16 to Nov. 25 when Ball State plays at Northern Iowa (Nov. 16) before competing in the Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas. The line-up for the Women's Basketball Battle 4 Atlantis includes Ball State, Baylor, Columbia University, Indiana, North Carolina, Southeast Missouri, Texas A&M and Villanova.
Ball State then returns home for back-to-back contests when it hosts South Dakota State (Dec. 1) before hosting Davidson for its annual "Field Trip Day" (Dec. 5).
After that, Ball State will wrap up its 2024 travel with two away games at Big Ten foe Ohio State (Dec. 10) and at Northern Kentucky (Dec. 15).
The Cardinals will close out their non-conference schedule at home Dec. 19 against Anderson University before opening its 2025 18-game MAC campaign.
The Cardinals will start conference action at Miami (Jan. 1). Ball State's home league opener is slated for Jan. 4 versus Central Michigan and then BSU will close out MAC play in Worthen Arena against Ohio (March 8).
The conference tournament runs March 12-15 with the league's top eight teams advancing to Cleveland for the quarterfinals, semifinals and the title game on Saturday, March 15.
