MUNCIE, Ind. – The second game of the MAC-SBC Challenge for men's and women's basketball has been announced by the Mid-American and Sun Belt Conferences on Monday, with Ball State men's and women's teams hoping to complete a sweep of their Sun Belt opponents this season.
Under the leadership of head coach Brady Sallee, the MAC-leading Ball State women (16-2) will host their second nationally televised game of the season when they host James Madison (14-5), currently in second place in the Sun Belt, at 2 p.m. on Super Bowl Sunday. The afternoon tipoff on Sunday, Feb. 11, marks the second time in a month that the Cardinals have welcomed CBS Sports Network to Worthen Arena, with Ball State dismantling Toledo 65-51 last Sunday evening.
Sallee's team won at Troy on Nov. 11, 86-71, in Game 1 of the women's MAC-SBC Challenge.
On the men's side, Michael Lewis' squad hopes to follow a 73-68 win over Old Dominion on Nov. 11 in Muncie. The Cardinals (9-9) travel to Texas State (7-12) on Saturday, Feb. 10 (time and TV TBD) for their second game of the Challenge.
