Ball State Lands 12 on Academic All-MAC Team

CLEVELAND – The Mid-American Conference announced is annual Academic All-MAC Team on for baseball on Friday. Ball State landed 12 on the list of 111 student-athletes.
Justin Conant led the Cardinals with his third Academic All-MAC honor. Conant was one of four student-athletes in the MAC to produce a perfect 4.0 GPA.
Ty Johnson, Zach Lane, Sam Klein, and Decker Scheffler all made it back-to-back years on the Academic All-MAC Team. Adam Tellier earned his second accolade to go along with his 2021 honor.
Casey Bargo, Ryan Brown, Hunter Dobbins, Jacob Hartlaub, Tanner Knapp, and Matthew Rivera all achieved their first Academic All-MAC accolade.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests, with the exception of the 50 percent rule for pitchers. First-year students and ANY transfer in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
