Braun Receives CSC Academic All-American Second Team Honors

AUSTIN, Texas - Jessica Braun, a May 2023 Ball State University graduate and member of the Ball State women's tennis team has earned a spot on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Second Team.
Braun finished her four years at Ball State with a 4.0 grade point average in logistics and supply chain management.
A four-time recipient of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Academic Team and Academic All-Mid-American Conference squad, Braun not only was successful on the court but also off the court.
In 2022, Braun was voted the MAC Tournaments' Most Valuable Player. Over her tenure at Ball State, she has helped the Cardinals to two MAC regular season titles, two MAC Tournament championships and three-straight trips to the NCAA Tournament.
Braun becomes the first women's tennis player to earn such an honor in over a decade.
To be eligible for Academic All-American honors, student-athletes must be a key member of the program, must participate in 50 percent of the institution's competitions in either cross country, indoor track and field, or outdoor track and field, achieve sophomore standing at their current school, maintain a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50, and be nominated by her sports information director.
