Cardinals Complete Round One of National Golf Invitational

MARICOPA, Arizona – The Ball State men's golf team completed day one of the National Golf Invitational today after being paired with George Washington University and Valparaiso in round one.

The Cardinals are tied with Utah Valley for sixth place with two more rounds to play.

Leading the Cardinals during round one was Griffin Hare, finishing at 4-under (68) and showing a dominant performance throughout the first 18 holes of the tournament. Hare tallied five birdies to finish tied for third individually heading into round two.

Kash Bellar finished at 1-under after round one (71), placing him tied for 18^th place. Bellar recorded three birdies throughout the round. Ali Khan finished at 1-over (73) and is tied for 32^nd heading into round two tomorrow. Joey Ranieri and Carter Smith both finished at 2-over today (74) and are tied for 43^rd after round one of play.

The Cardinals will be paired with Texas State and Troy for round two tomorrow. The following are the tee times for round two:

            Ali Khan: 11:18 a.m. EST
            Kash Bellar: 11:27 a.m. EST
            Griffin Hare: 11:36 a.m. EST
