Cardinals Are Set to Compete at MAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships

AKRON, Ohio – The Ball State track and field team is headed to Akron to compete at the 2023 Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships on May 11-13.

The Cardinals competed last at the Outdoor Music City Challenge at Vanderbilt before taking the week to prepare for the outdoor championships. The Cardinals have had a successful outdoor season leading up to the MAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships thus far, and they look to finish the outdoor season on top.

At this year's MAC Indoor Track and Field Championships, the Cardinals finished in second place overall and scored 83 points. This was their best finish since the Cardinals took second in 2006.

The MAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships begin on Thursday, May 11 at 10:00 a.m. with the heptathlon event. The meet will continue into Friday, May 12 and Saturday, May 13.
