Polishchuk Earns MAC Weekly Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Ball State women's tennis junior Mariya Polishchuk has been named this week's Mid-American Conference Women's Singles Player of the Week. The announcement was made today by the conference office.Â
In the Cardinals' lone match this past weekend, Polishchuk dominated play in Ball State's MAC match debut, winning in straight sets over the Broncos' top singles player, Lindsey Ziegler. Polishchuk took a 6-4, 6-1 decision versus Ziegler while helping the Cardinals open MAC play 1-0 with BSU's 7-0 sweep over WMU.
With the win, Polishchuk remains undefeated in dual action with a 10-0 mark.
The Ball State women's tennis team remains at home for its second league match of the season when it hosts Buffalo Friday at the Northwest YMCA. First serve is at 1 pm ET.
