Joey Ranieri Earns MAC Golfer of the Week Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Fifth-year senior Joey Ranieri was named the Mid-American Conference Golfer of the Week after he displayed consistency and leadership at the Earl Yestingsmeier Match Play last weekend.

Ranieri was persistent throughout each of the three matches he played in. He competed against the #1 player from Central Michigan, High Point University and Drake University. Ranieri tallied a 1UP win over CMU, a 2&1 win over High Point, and a close 2&1 loss to Drake. He finished the weekend with an overall record of 2-1, and he helped lead the Cardinals to their first tournament win of 2023.

Ranieri and the Cardinals will be back in action in Dorado, Puerto Rico for the Dorado Beach Collegiate on Feb. 26-28.
