Athletics Places Seven On Ball State Top 100 List

MUNCIE, Ind. - - For the second straight academic year, seven student-athletes have been named to Ball State's Top 100 Students list, as announced by the Ball State University Foundation.

In its second year, the award recognizes 100 outstanding junior and senior undergraduates at Ball State who represent Beneficence both in and out of the classroom. All applications were scored by a group of Ball State alumni from around the country.

Garnering recognition were Noah Berryman (swimming & diving), Maria Broering (soccer), Clayton Coll (football), Phoebe Rensink (swimming & diving), Megan Teter (gymnastics), Alexis Thigpen (track & field), and Haley Wynn (softball).

All recipients of the award are set to be honored during One Ball State Day on April 5.

In addition, five of the seven student-athletes were named Top 50 Students and will be announced at a reception this Spring, where honored students will be joined by their loved ones and other guests. Those honorees are Berryman, Coll, Rensink, Teter, and Wynn.

In the inaugural Ball State Top 100 Student awards last season, Isabelle Behrman of the women's tennis team was a Top 2 Student Award recipient. In addition, Duncan McLarty from the men's swimming & diving program was named a Top 25 Student.
