Moser Claims Final MAC Defensive Player of the Week Honor For 2023

CLEVELAND - - For the second time this season, and the third time in her career, Ball State redshirt junior goalkeeper Bethany Moser has been named the Mid-American Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

Moser closed the 2023 regular season with her second complete match, and third overall, shutout of the year by stopping all six shots on goal she faced in Thursday's 2-0 victory over Central Michigan.

In helping the Cardinals secure the No. 3 seed and a quarterfinal home match in the 2023 MAC Women's Soccer Championship, Moser raised her season save total to 107 which is a Ball State single season record.

Up next for Moser and the Cardinals, a Sunday afternoon showdown with No. 6 seed Ohio in the MAC Championship. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at the Briner Sports Complex.
