McClay’s Goal Not Enough to Lift Field Hockey Past Miami

Despite the loss, the Cardinals have won seven games this season two years in a row including a victory over Big Ten foe and in-state rival Indiana.
Kerrianne McClay was the lone Cardinal to find the back of the cage scoring at the 38th minute in the third quarter of play. McClay now has six goals this season and 14 for her career as a Cardinal.
The RedHawks scored five goals over the 60-minute duration of today's contest. The six-time defending MAC regular season champions are set to host next weekend's conference tournament.
In goal for Ball State was Hannah Johnston. She finished the contest with 13 saves while facing 11 corners. She now has 340 saves for her career at Ball State.
The Ball State field hockey team will end its season Sunday at Big Ten foe Michigan State. That game is slated for a 1 pm ET start.
