Jensen Klondike Named Mid-American Conference Golfer of the Week

MUNCIE, Ind. – Ball State golfer Jensen Klondike finished in second place on Monday in a 24-player individual event hosted at Delaware Country Club to earn this week's Mid-American Conference Golfer of the Week Award.
In an individual-only event originally scheduled to be held in Cincinnati, Ball State and Delaware Country Club combined efforts to host The Cardinal Indy, a 36-hole tournament with individual golfers representing six schools. Klondike finished second in the event that featured competitors from Ohio State, Indiana, Toledo, Kent State and Miami (Ohio), trailing only Nick Piesen of Indiana who shot 6-under par 134 over two rounds.
Klondike, a grad transfer from Bellarmine University in Louisville, shot 3-under par (137) to pace the rest of the field and finish the highest among 16 MAC participants. His 3-under 67 in the first round put him in second place and he remained in second place with a par-70 in the day's final round. He birdied four out of 18 holes in each round.
Ball State won three consecutive MAC Golfer of the Week awards earlier this fall and Jensen's honor gives the Cardinals four weekly honors just through the fall.
