Cross Country Completes Last Meet Before MAC Championships

PEORIA, Ill. – The Cardinals completed their last race before the MAC Championships Friday afternoon in Peoria, Illinois.Â
Kendyl Thrasher and Ashley Craycraft kicked things off, competing in the White Race. Thrasher was the Cardinal's first finisher, completing the 6k in 24:31.80. Craycraft finished in 26:42.80.Â
Six Ball State athletes competed in the Red Race. Sarah Mahnensmith led the pack, finishing with a time of 21:53.10 and placing 34th. Carly Spletzer and Shelby Christman followed, finishing with times of 22:18.50 and 22:41.20.Â
Jessica Velez crossed the finish line with a time of 22:49.10, just eight seconds away from her personal best.Â
Ella Fullmer and Maci Hoskins came in next for the Cardinals, finishing with the respective times of 24:23.10 and 24:37.20.Â
As a team, Ball State finished 22nd of 32 teams.Â
The Cardinals will look ahead to the MAC Cross Country Championships set for Saturday, October 28th.
