MVB Opens Two-Match Weekend at Home With 3-0 Sweep Over Queens

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State men's volleyball team opened its two-match home weekend with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-15, 25-15) sweep over Queens University of Charlotte Friday night in Worthen Arena.
In the win, sophomore outside hitter Tinaishe Ndavazocheva led the Ball State (3-2) attack with 10 kills while also adding a match high three service aces. Ndavazocheva also racked up 16 receptions and four digs.
As a team, the Cardinals hit .394 from the floor while limiting the Royals defensively to a .029 hitting effort.
The Cardinals were on fire in all three sets and the Royals didn't stand a chance as BSU plowed through each frame taking early commanding leads throughout the contest.
In the first frame, Ball State took a substantial 14-8 advantage off the kill from Keau Thompson who finished the night with nine. The second set was similar as the Cardinals built a 21-13 cushion after a Kaleb Jenness attack. Jenness also registered nine kills tonight.
The final set was finished off by Ndavazocheva's high flying kill which sealed the Cardinals victory.
The Ball State men's volleyball team continues non-conference action at home Saturday when it hosts Sacred Heart at 5 pm ET in Worthen Arena.
