
Ball State T&F is Prepared to Battle in Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON, IN – After picking up one event win, multiple heat wins and 11 personal-best performances at the Hawkeye Invitational, Ball State track and field heads to Bloomington this weekend to compete at the Gladstein Fieldhouse for the Gladstein Invitational.Â
The Cardinals head into their third meet of the season with high expectations. After two indoor meets, the Cardinals have collected six event wins and they are looking to add more to their tally at this weekend's meet.
The meet begins for the Cardinals on Friday, Jan. 20 at 4:00 p.m. EST with the triple jump. Ball State has 13 different student-athletes scheduled to compete in seven events on Friday.
The Cardinals will begin the second day of competition on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 10:45 a.m. with the long jump. A total of 13 student-athletes are competing in six different events on Saturday. The final event of the day, the 4x400m relay, is scheduled for 1:10 p.m.

Kayla Jones leads the MAC in the 800m for the second straight week (2:11.00). Charity Griffith's performance in Iowa City put her on top of the MAC rankings for the high jump (1.85m / 6-0.75) and earned her MAC Field Athlete of the Week honors.Â
With many strong performances at the Hawkeye Invitational, 10 Cardinals find themselves within the top 16 on the MAC performance list.Â
