Women’s Tennis Opens Fall Play In Dominate Fashion At Bethany Moore Invite

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State women's tennis team picked up right where it left off last season with the Cardinals dominating the field in both doubles and singles Friday afternoon in the 4th Annual Bethany Moore Invitational.
In fact, 10 of the Cardinals have reached the semifinal rounds in their respective singles slots. Ball State won 18 total matches in both singles and doubles.
Emma Peeler paired up with teammate Mariya Polishchuk at the No. 1 Doubles Flight defeating their respective opponents 8-3 and 8-1 to reach the title match Saturday against Oakland's Jillian Milaon and Liza Mladentseva.
In the No. 2 Doubles Flight, Jessica Braun alongside doubles partner Annika Planinsek turned in two victories and will take on their teammates Ella Hazelbaker and Elena Malykh tomorrow morning.
Polishchuk, Braun, Amy Kaplan, Malykh, Peeler, Planinsek, Livia Lukacs, Emily Desai, and Jacqueline Pearsall all advanced to the semi's in their respective singles flights.
Action in the 4th Annual Bethany Moore Invitational concludes Saturday, with the final round of doubles play starting at 10 a.m. ET. The final rounds of singles will follow shortly after the conclusion of doubles competition.
