Men’s Tennis Completes Day One At Dayton Invite

DAYTON, Ohio - The Ball State men's tennis team finished day one of action at the James O'Connell Memorial Tournament hosted by the University of Dayton this weekend.
Today's competition consisted of doubles play against the Flyers and Northern Kentucky followed by six singles matches versus Xavier.
The duo of Parrish Simmons and Danilo Kovacevic went 2-0 in the Flight 1 doubles bracket after defeating teams from Dayton and NKU. Vince Orlando alongside partner Eli Herran split their doubles play, as did the twosome of Nathaniel Webster and Jacks Lancaster.
In singles, the Cardinals took four of the six singles courts from Xavier. Nathaniel Webster, Orlando, Herran and Lancaster all registered victories over their respective opponents.
The Ball State men's tennis team will wrap up action at the James O'Connell Memorial Tournament Saturday with competition beginning at 8:30 a.m. ET.
