Cardinals Land Five on WGCA All-American Scholar Team

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced its yearly WGCA All-American Scholar Team on Tuesday. The Ball State women's golf team was represented by Dylann Armstrong, Payton Bennett, Liz Kim, Hadley Moritz, and Tiegan Taylor.
This is the fourth-consecutive season that the Cardinals have had at least four golfers earn a spot on the All-American Scholar team. Kim earned her fifth accolade. Moritz and Taylor achieved the honor for the fourth time in their careers. Armstrong and Bennett each received their first recognition.
Armstrong posted a 3.97 GPA as she worked toward a degree in criminal justice and criminology. Bennett bolstered a 3.97 as she worked toward a sports administration degree. Kim recorded a 3.94 GPA in the pursuit of a Master of Sport and Exercise Psychology. Moritz also achieved a 3.97 GPA on her way to an elementary education degree. Taylor produced a 3.90 GPA in the pursuit of a degree in exercise science.
The WGCA announced a total of 1,485 women's collegiate golfers were recognized with this prestigious honor. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.
