Senior earns all-conference recognition for second straight season

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Ball State men's golfer Joey Ranieri was named All-Mid-American Conference Second Team, the league office announced Friday.

It marks the third time in his career that he has received a postseason award from the conference. Ranieri was also named to the All-MAC Second Team in 2021 and was named the MAC Freshman of the Year in 2019.

Ranieri was one of two Cardinals to compete in all 33 rounds this season, joining teammate Ali Khan. The senior averaged a team-best 72.64 strokes per round.

In addition, the Zionsville, Ind. native had a team-high four top-10 finishes and touted 14 rounds of even par or better during the 2021-22 campaign.
