Cole Earns MAC Player of the Week

CLEVELAND – The Mid-American Conference announced its weekly Player and Pitcher of the Week on Monday. Zach Cole earned MAC Co-Player of the Week after an outstanding weekend against Miami as the Cardinals clinched the MAC regular season title.
Cole led the Cardinals with a .588 batting average and produced a team-high 10 hits to help Ball State sweep Miami. He hit his NCAA-leading ninth triple of the season. He led the team with a 1.176 slugging percentage, eight RBIs and two home runs. He tied for the team lead with five runs scored and two doubles. He notched one stolen base. Defensively, he added eight putouts.
Ball State returns to action on Wednesday, May 25, for the first round of the MAC Tournament. The Cardinals welcome the four-team field to Muncie. Ball State will face Ohio and the game is scheduled for a 4 p.m. first pitch.
