Waldo Named MAC Gymnastics Specialist of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio - - After tying Ball State's highest beam score of the season Sunday at West Virginia, junior Taylor Waldo has been named the Mid-American Conference Specialist of the Week.

The fourth different Cardinals gymnast to earn MAC Specialist of the Week honors this season, Waldo turned in a career-best beam routine of 9.900 against the Mountaineers.

Not only did the effort tie as BSU's best on the apparatus this season, but it also ties as the
second-best beam routine in program history and earned her the event win at WVU.

In addition to the effort on beam, Waldo earned a 9.750 in her floor routine at West Virginia.

Waldo and the rest of the Ball State gymnastics program closes the 2022 regular season Friday, when it travels to Central Michigan for a 7 p.m. league matchup. The CMU dual will serve as the final tune-up for the MAC Championships which take place March 19 at Eastern Michigan.
