Men’s Tennis Drops MAC Opener to Western Michigan

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Ball State men's tennis team (5-6, 0-1 MAC) fell to Western Michigan (5-6, 1-0 MAC) Friday afternoon at West Hills Athletic Club.
The Cardinals found themselves down early to the Broncos after dropping the doubles point to WMU. The Broncos took wins on courts two and three to claim the doubles point over the Cardinals.
In singles action, Western Michigan continued to prevail taking five of the six courts from Ball State. The lone Cardinal to win his match was veteran Vince Orlando. Orlando defeated his opponent Jackson Boone in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4 on court six.
The Ball State men's tennis team continues its two-match Mid-American Conference opening weekend when it travels to Northern Illinois Sunday for a 3 pm ET first serve in Rockford, Ill. at the Boylan Tennis Center.
