Ball State Announces 2023 Baseball Schedule
December 08, 2022 | Baseball
MUNCIE, Ind. – Head Coach Rich Maloney and the Ball State baseball team announced the schedule for the 2023 season on Thursday.
The Mid-American Conference has elected to return to a three-game series for the 2023 campaign.
"This year, our team will have a chance to compete against high-powered Mid-Major Charlotte in a four-game series to open our season" said Coach Maloney. "We play Big Ten power Rutgers (43 wins last season), ACC power Wake Forest, Big Ten rival Indiana twice, Purdue, and MVC in-state rival Indiana State. On our bye week, we go back to Charleston, S.C. to play the Citadel. The Mid-American Conference will go back to playing a three-game series instead of the four-game series we have been playing the last couple of years due to Covid. We will play every team in the MAC, with five series at home and five on the road. The regular season MAC Champion will host the four-team MAC tournament. I hope you will come out and support our young men as they strive to become the best team they can be."
