October 04, 2022 | Soccer
CLEVELAND – The Mid-American Conference announced its weekly Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday. After an outstanding week, Ball State goalkeeper Bethany Moser was named the MAC Defensive Player of the Week.
Moser was a key cog in the Cardinal defense as she helped secure a 2-0 record over the week. She made three saves in the BSU 4-1 victory over NIU. She recorded a clean sheet with one save against Bowling Green. She has three shutouts to go along with 38 saves on the season.
"I'm excited for Bethany to receive this honor," said Head Coach Josh Rife. "She has been through quite a lot to get to this point, and it has come as a result of hard work, dedication, perseverance, and mental toughness."
The Cardinals make a return trip to northwest Ohio on Thursday, Oct. 6, for a match with the Toledo Rockets. Kick is scheduled for 7 p.m.
