Ball State cross country earns USTFCCCA Team Academic Award

Cardinals post 14th-highest GPA in the country
NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Ball State cross country team was named a recipient of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Team Academic Award.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.
The Cardinals, under the direction of first-year head coach Adrian Wheatley, posted a 3.785 team GPA, which was the 14th-highest in the country.
The cross country team's impressive mark was the highest GPA among all Ball State programs en route to a record-setting fall term that saw a department-wide 3.41 GPA.
