Swim & Dive Programs Earn CSCAA Scholar All-America Status

RICHMOND, Va. - - The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has announced the Ball State University men's and women's swimming & diving programs have earned Scholar All-America honors for their efforts in the classroom during the 2021 fall semester. Â

The men's squad finished the term with a 3.33 GPA among 29 countable student-athletes, while the women's squad earned a 3.57 GPA among 32 countable student-athletes. Ball State's women's GPA was the best among NCAA Division I programs in the state of Indiana, while the men's was second-best in the state, trailing only Purdue's 3.39 mark.
"Coach Agnew is one of our sports' up-and-comers and you're seeing it here," noted CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart. " These 61 men and women are some of the best ambassadors that Ball State and the Mid-American Conference could ask for."
The Ball State women's program has earned the honor for 22 consecutive semesters and in 23 of the 24 total semesters currently on record. The men's team has earned the honor in four straight semesters and 19 total times.
To be eligible for the award, teams must have a GPA of at least 3.0 for the semester. A total of 728 programs from 450 institutions across the NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA and NJCAA levels were honored with the award for the fall of 2021.
