Women’s Tennis Competes At The Eagle Invitational This Weekend

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State women's tennis team continues fall action at the Eastern Michigan Eagle Invitational this weekend (Oct. 1-3) in Ypsilanti, Mich.
The three-day event features 10 teams Ball State, Cleveland State, Eastern Michigan, DePaul, Findlay, Illinois State, Northwood, Oakland, Wayne State, and Western Michigan.
The competition will take place in two locations. The main setup will be at the Chippewa Club and the second site will be Ypsilanti Community High School. Friday's action is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. with the seeding being set by the players universal tennis rating (UTR).
The Cardinals are coming off of a successful weekend after hosting their third annual Bethany Moore Invite. On opening day, Ball State earned 10 singles championship slots and finished the weekend winning five of them. Ball State won over 20+ matches in singles play in a two-day span. Ball State also found success in doubles play as well both in the main draw and the consolation bracket.
After this weekend, the Cardinals will take a brief break before heading to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Ohio Valley Regional on Oct. 21 which will be held on the campus of Middle Tennessee.
