MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State soccer team returns to action for two Mid-American Conference matches this week. The Cardinals travel to Buffalo for a matchup with the Bulls on Thursday, before hosting the Akron Zips on Sunday.
The Cardinals are coming off of a 2-1 victory on the road against the Central Michigan Chippewas on Sunday. Chelcy Ralph and Grace Alsop ended the three-match scoreless streak. Lexy Smith and Jenna Dombrowski each added an assist. Ralph leads BSU with six points on three goals. Nicky Potts is second on the team with four points on two goals. Alex DeRuvo enters the contest with a 3-4-1 record in goal for Ball State.
This will be the 22nd meeting between BSU and UB. Ball State leads the overall series 14-7-2, including a 3-2 overtime victory in the last meeting in 2019. The Cardinals enter the match with a 3-4-1 overall record and a 1-0-1 mark in the MAC. The Bulls come into the meeting with a 6-2-1 record and are 0-1-1 in the MAC.
