Men’s Tennis Wraps Up Day Two At ITA Ohio Valley Regional

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Ball State men's tennis team wrapped up its second day of action at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Ohio Valley Regional Friday evening which is being held at the University of Tennessee.
On Thursday, Eli Herran advanced in the singles main draw after a straight set defeat, 6-2, 6-2 over Dayton's Oliver Dunne. Herran would then drop his second match on Friday, falling to Big Ten foe Minnesota's Slim Troost, 6-2, 6-3.
The Cardinals have found success in doubles play at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional. Thibault de Negri alongside teammate Herran have so far won both their matches and will advance to Saturday's round of 16. So will their teammates Danilo Kovacevic and veteran Chris Adams.
Vince Orlando, de Negri and Petar Petrovic earned victories in the singles consolation bracket today. Orlando paired up with Abe Wojtalik for a victory in the doubles consolation bracket and will continue to compete on Saturday.
