Men’s Tennis Heads to Kalamazoo for MAC Indoors

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State men's tennis team takes to the road for one last fall tournament as the Cardinals make the trip to Kalamazoo, Michigan for the MAC Indoor tournament on Friday.
BSU will be joined by host Western Michigan, Binghamton, Buffalo, Northern Illinois, and Toledo for the three-day tournament. The matches will take place at the West Hills Athletic Club. The action Friday begins at 1 p.m. and will feature three rounds of doubles contests. The singles draw begins on Saturday at 9 a.m., while the singles finals are slated to start at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.
In the singles flight one draw, Thibault de Negri takes on Sawit Sornlaksup of Toledo on court #7. Also in the flight one, Danilo Kovacevic takes on Kris Ortega of NIU on court #8. In flight two, Chris Adams battles Adam Kovac of Toledo on court #10. Nathaniel Webster is set to face Wojciech Szczensy of Toledo in flight three. Vince Orlando takes on Kyle Weekes of Binghamton in the fourth flight and Eli Herran squares off with Krzystof Wetoszka of Toledo in the same flight. In the flight five, Parrish Simmons takes on Greg Hastings of Buffalo, while Petar Petrovic battles Adi Ben Ari of Binghamton. Abe Wojtalik is set to face Vlad Meluta of Toledo in the first round of flight six.
In doubles play, the duo of Kovacevic and De Negri take on Peter Kuszynski and Ferdinand Schlueter of Western Michigan at 1 p.m. on Friday on court #1 in flight one. In flight two of doubles, Adams and Orlando battle Weekes and Anshumat Srivastave of Binghamton on court #7, while Simmons and Webster face Arjun Honnappa and Joaquin Caballer of Western Michigan on court #4. Herran and Wojtalik received a first round bye of the flight three draw.
