MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State soccer team returns to the pitch for the Mid-American Conference opener against Eastern Michigan on Thursday from the Briner Sports Complex. Kickoff is scheduled for a 4 p.m. start.
The Cardinals enter the contest with a 2-4 record, while the Eagles enter with a 1-5-1 mark. Ball State comes into Thursday's match with a 14-8-2 record against Eastern Michigan and is 7-4-1 on matches played at the Briner Sports Complex. BSU has won the last three meetings, including a 2-1 victory in Muncie in the last contest.
Nicky Potts and Chelcy Ralph are tied for the team lead with four points as they each have recorded two goals. Melissa Diceman, Avery Fenchel, Kennedy Metzger, and Emily Simmons each have added one goal. Alex DeRuvo has started all six contests in goal for the Cardinals and has made 21 saves on the year.
