Despite its best effort, the Cardinals (2-4) could not slow down a talented Wolverines (4-0) offense which entered the game with 13 goals in its first three contests, including an 8-0 win over fellow MAC program Central Michigan last Sunday.

The other wins for the Maize & Blue, a 3-2 win over then-No. 1 North Carolina (Aug. 27) and a 2-0 win against then-No. 11 Wake Forest (Aug. 29).
