Men’s Golf Alumni Honored by Indiana PGA

FRANKLIN, Ind. - - Monday night was a big one for several Ball State men's golf alumni, as the Indiana PGA recognized its 2021 special award winners at a banquet held at the Country Club of Indianapolis.

The night started with a pair of Cardinals being honored for their play during the 2021 professional season.
Jamie Broce, a four-year letterwinner from 1996-99, earned 2021 Indiana PGA Player of the Year honors. In addition to his playing accolades, which includes competing in the 2014 and 2017 PGA Championships, Broce is the head coach of the IUPUI men's and women's golf programs.
Timothy Wiseman, a four-year letterwinner from 2016-19, earned 2021 Indiana PGA Assistant Player of the Year honors. Wiseman, along with four year letterwinner Eric Steger (2008-11), earned a spot in the PGA Assistant National Championship at PGA Golf Club, Wanamaker Course, in Port St. Lucie, Florida on November 11-14
For their outstanding efforts, two former Cardinals were also honored for their professional contributions by the Indiana PGA.
Bill Pollert, a three-year letterwinner for the Cardinals from 1999-2001, was named the Indiana PGA Golf Professional of the Year. Pollert has served as a Head Golf Professional for the past 15 years, including the last 10 at Highland Golf and Country Club. He also recently completed his two-year term as the Indiana PGA Board President.
Todd DeHaven, a four-year letterwinner for the Cardinals from 1982-85, was recognized with the Professional Development Award for his work with Indiana Golf.
