Soccer Claims 13 Spots on Academic All-MAC Team

MUNCIE, Ind. -- Ball State placed 13 student-athletes on the Academic All-MAC Women's Soccer Team announced Tuesday. The West Division champion Cardinals had the second-most selections of any team in the league.

Junior forward Tatiana Mason was one of 13 players on the All-MAC team with a 4.0 GPA. She was one of seven Cardinals named to the team for the second straight season, joining Grace Alsop, Sammi Corcoran, Kerrigan Johnson, Shelby Kean, Emily Simmons and Lexy Smith.

The Academic All-MAC honor is for student-athletes who have excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
