Kovacevic Earns MAC Tennis Singles Player of the Week Honors

MUNCIE, Ind. - Junior Danilo Kovacevic of the Ball Sate men's tennis team has been tabbed Mid-American Conference Singles Player of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday.

Kovacevic continues to find success this season in both singles and doubles. This past weekend, Kovacevic went 2-0 on the top court for the Cardinals helping the No. 46 Ball State men's tennis team to a pair of Mid-American Conference victories over Binghamton (7-0) and Buffalo (6-1).

Kovacevic opened the weekend with a three-set thriller over Binghamton's Michael Pawlowicz, 6-3, 5-7, 6-3.

On Sunday, Kovacevic closed out the MAC weekend with a 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) defeat over Buffalo's Bjoern Petersen.

He also went 2-0 at the No. 1 doubles slot alongside partner senior Chris Adams this past weekend.

With the wins, Kovacevic helped Ball State improve its overall record to 14-3 and 3-2 in Mid-American Conference action.
