Peeler Earns MAC Co-Women’s Tennis Player of The Week Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Sophomore Emma Peeler of the Ball State women's tennis team earned Mid-American Conference Co-Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday.
Peeler went 2-0 last weekend for the Cardinals at the No. 1 singles position. She started the week off with a 6-1, 7-6 take down over Northern Illinois' Maria Potsi.
On Sunday, Peeler had the game-winner against Bowling Green's Margarita Tavpash. Peeler took the match in a three-set thriller, 7-5, 5-7, 7-5.
Not only did Peeler find success in singles she also registered wins on the top court in doubles play against both NIU and BGSU.
Peeler helped the Cardinals remain at the top of the Mid-American Conference standings with an overall league ledger of 8-0. Ball State has also extended its win streak to 17.
The Ball State women's tennis team continues Mid-American Conference action when it hosts Eastern Michigan Friday at 1 p.m. ET at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center, weather permitting.
