Boilermaker Invitational Suspended by Darkness Late in Round 2

Tyler Green third in this weekend’s individual event
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Play was halted by darkness late in the second round Saturday at the Boilermaker Invitational where the Ball State men's golf team is competing this weekend.

Several of the top teams on the leaderboard finished their round. Indiana posted 10 under par to lead tournament-host Purdue by four and sixth-ranked Illinois by five. The tournament at the Kampen Course features eight top-100 teams.

Ball State is one of eight teams not quite finished with round two. The Cardinals bounced back from an opening round 309 (+21) and were 2 over for the second round when play was stopped. BSU is 15th on the team leaderboard.

Joey Wiseman did finish his second round, firing a 1-under 71, while CJ Jones carded a 72. Wiseman is the top Ball State player in a tie for 46th.

Round two will be completes Sunday morning before the final round.

Both rounds were completed in the individual event being contested next door at the Ackerman-Allen Course. Ball State's Tyler Green is third in a field of 36 players at 4 under par after rounds of 71 and 69. Green is three shots behind Indiana's Brock Ochsenreiter entering Sunday's final round.
