Kim Top 10 after Day 1 in Richmond

RICHMOND, Ky. -- Liz Kim followed an even-par round of 72 with a 74 in the afternoon to lead the Ball State women's golf team Monday on the opening day of the Colonel Classic.
Kim is tied for eighth place among the 81 golfers in the field with one round left to play at the University Club at Arlington.
Ball State is eighth as a team after bouncing back from a tough opening round 310 to post a 295 in the afternoon for a 36-hole total of 605.
Tournament host Eastern Kentucky holds an 11-shot lead over second-place Cincinnati, while UC's Katie Hallihan holds the individual lead at 9 under par.
The final round will be played Tuesday with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
