73 the Number for Men’s Golf Monday in Gulf Shores

GULF SHORES, Ala. – The Ball State men's golf team counted four rounds of 73 in Monday's second round at the Craft Farms Intercollegiate.

It added up to the third-best round of the day on the Cotton Creek course, as the Cardinals moved up to seventh place with a 36-hole total of 590 (+14). BSU enters the final round four strokes out of the top 5.

Those Monday 73s came from Joey Ranieri, Tyler Green, CJ Jones and Sterling McIlravy.

Ranieri and Green matched each other for the second straight day and are the top BSU players in the individual leaderboard in a tie for 21st, one shot better than Jones and McIlravy. Jack Cunningham is just three shots back of them in what has been a consistent performance throughout the lineup this week.

Cincinnati (Even) moved to the top in round two and will take a four-shot lead over round-one leader Louisiana into the final day.

The third round will be played Tuesday in Gulf Shores.
