Moritz Gets off to Fast Start at Mid-American Challenge

Cardinals sixth as a team with one round left at Lakewood Ranch
LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. – Hadley Moritz fired back-to-back under-par rounds Monday to lead the Ball State women's golf team on the opening day of its 2021 season.
Moritz carded rounds of 71 and 70 at Lakewood Ranch Country Club. The junior from Wheaton, Illinois, is tied for fourth place out of 69 golfers in the field at 3 under par, four shots off the lead held by Sarah Edwards of Florida Gulf Coast.
Ball State (+24) is sixth out of the 12 teams in the field with one round left to play at the Mid-American Challenge. Florida Gulf Coast (+2) leads the way.
The Cardinals bounced back from an opening-round 307 with a 293 in round two Monday. Liz Kim and Kiah Parrott both carded scores of 73 in that second round. Kim is tied for 23rd place, while Parrott – making her collegiate debut – is tied for 33rd.
The final round is set for Tuesday, as the Cardinals look to make a move up the leaderboard.
